About

My name is Ursula, I'm a self educated artist and mom with three busy school aged children, blessed to live on a beautiful ranch near Medicine Hat, Alberta. 

My entire life I have loved art, with many artists in my family it has always been present and nurtured in my home. When my children were very young, I began painting in mixed media, acrylics and working in art journals as a creative outlet.

As my creative practice grew, I began taking online and in person workshops and classes. I love exploring new art supplies and try to consistently learn new skills and ideas. I love connecting with fellow artist’s, seeing their artistic interpretations and feeling the energy of a using a creative space together.

My artistic interests have developed over the years I have found a deep fascination with colour and expressive mark making. I’m interested in how colour makes us feel and how it evokes emotions. I often will paint themes found in nature such as florals and landscapes. The beauty of these things in our day to day lives feels like an incredible gift. When I paint them it is time for me to be still and really appreciate the simple abundances of this life.
