Commission

One of the most rewarding parts of being an artist is bringing beauty and joy to people. My specialty is floral art so my commission clients are often brides having a bouquet painted as a keepsake of their wedding day. I also work with clients who would like a favourite flower, significant landscape painted or a beloved pet.
Gift cards are available and can be used towards a unique and sentimental wedding or anniversary gift!

Details:

Artwork: paintings are made with professional Acrylic paint. Small to medium pieces are made on cradled wood panel. The sides will be left natural wood. Paintings over 24 inches will be painted on gallery wrapped canvas. The painted image will continue over the edge of the piece. If you would prefer the sides be painted a solid color that can be accommodated as well.

Hanging: I install hanging hardware and a hanging wire on the back of the piece so it's ready to go! Paintings 16 x 20” and smaller include a white gallery style float frame. If you would prefer to have the painting custom framed yourself please just let me know and I will adjust the price accordingly.

Shipping: I can deliver this personally if you are within 1 hour of the city of Medicine Hat, AB. Otherwise, this piece will ship with utmost care with tracking and insurance via Canada Post. Shipping/Delivery fees are included in the commission price within Canada for pieces under 24 inches. Larger pieces will require additional shipping fees. International shipping is available and will be sent within your quote.  

Style: I paint in a semi realistic, colorful and impressionistic style. Our style is like our hand writing, it is unique and inherent to us all. I have included some examples of recent works at the bottom of the page for your viewing.

Please note: I can do any size (big or small) paintings on ovals, wood panel, paper…this price list gives you a general idea of costs but is not exhaustive.

How we will work together:

1. Let's chat! Simply send me this commission request on the contact form provided detailing things like the size of painting, where you are located, and what you're looking for. If you have seen a previous piece of art that I have made that you loved let me know, this helps me understand the look you like! Typical painting time takes 2-4 weeks. Please let me know if this painting is time sensitive. I will send along answers to any questions and a pricing quote.

2. If we decide to move forward with your custom commissioned painting, I will need you to send me 1-3 clear images of your bouquet or reference photos. I rely on these photos to give me an idea of what you have in mind so clear, high quality images are best. (Such as professional wedding photos). After the initial quote I will email you a link to a reserved listing with your commission name where you can purchase it through my online shop. Payment is required in full. If you are are interested in a paying in instalments that can be accommodated upon request. I do guarantee my work, this is a special keepsake and I want you to be 100% happy with it.

3. Once payment is received I will send a sketch for your approval. This is to give you an idea of the composition and to ensure we are on the same page for the vision of your painting. This is a one of a kind piece of art to be cherished and I want to work together to make your vision come alive!

4. When I have finished the painting a photo of the artwork will be emailed to you prior to shipment for your approval. If your painting is a gift, don’t worry I’ll have it gift wrapped and ready to go! If you have a special event happening and would rather an unveiling, I am delighted to do that. This is a special occasion!
